Globo Esporte - Legend has it that when Lamine Yamal was six or seven years old, he was playing soccer on a court in the Rocafonda neighborhood, on the outskirts of Barcelona, when his father, Mounir Nasroui, learned that scouts were around. That boy, with a sharp left foot, was dribbling past opponents effortlessly. Mounir had no doubts: he grabbed his son by the arms and took him to the scouts and said, "Do you want my son to play for Barcelona?"

The rest is history. And it might be made this Sunday in the Euro final between Spain and England. After breaking numerous records throughout the tournament, Lamine Yamal could become the youngest champion of the competition, just one day after turning 17. And not just that—a champion as a protagonist.
